Match report Close again, but no cigar again.

After losing the toss and being put into bat, Wes punished the new ball bowling with a series of well timed straight boundaries. Despite the loss of Matt and Pratik early on, the run rate continued to be very healthy as Farhan picked up where Wes left off after being bowled by a decent ball. Lau and Farhan then used the overs and put on nearly 80 until Farhan got a leading edge and was out for another well played 44. Lau and Shim then continued to push the scoring rate, running hard and picking up boundaries, putting on 80 for the forth wicket. Both reached half centuries, Lau ending on 64 and Shim scoring 50 for the second week in a row, ending on 55no, with Risborough ending on 239-7.

In reply, despite an excellent new ball spell from Wes, edges weren't going our way and early wickets proved illusive. Tight bowling from Immy again didn't get the luck it deserved, and the breakthrough didn't come until the 23rd over when Andy Sheldon strick with an LBW. Shelly went on to take 6 wickets in a 12 over spell, while keeping the run rate very low and generally making life very difficult for Tring. He was well supported by the spinners Mark and Steve from the other end. In the end despite our best efforts for the second week in a row, the final wickets wouldn't come and the match ended in a draw.

Another good team performance, pleasing to see good catching and fielding. keeps us in the running for the last two games.
