Match report On a wicket far removed from toilet facilities and the PRCC one on which the 2nds played Thame 3rd a week ago, Thame struggled to score runs despite fairly short boundaries. The pitch's slow-ish pace suited Andy Sheldon whose 15 overs yielded 3 wickets for only 19 runs, but Laurence Brooker suffered with the ball regularly beating the bat and missing the stumps or sailing away off the edge. Prime honours went to Graeme Pitt (5-26 off 9 overs including one off-break which really turned!) and young Imran Khan impressed in his first game with the 2nds, bowling tidily without taking a wicket.
Even though PRCC didn't manage to take the final wicket, Thame's 114-9 was not enough. All the PRCC batsmen were fairly comfortable, though Andy Hitchcock was diddled by a very young and very respectable spinner. Kevin Dodds made the most of the boundaries with 44 and Laurence Brooker eased his first-innings frustration by coming in at number 6 with 6 needed to win and 6 wickets left, dispatching the ball over the rope from his one and only ball!
PRCC 2nds remain in second place in the table as Leighton Buzzard 3rd also won and remain one point ahead.
