Match report In the second weekend of Matt Fields's holiday the 2nds, headed by Graeme Pitt followed up their draw at Leighton Buzzard with a good win against Bicester & North Oxford IV. With the match reduced to 75 overs owing to an hour's delay in starting, PRCC won the toss and put the visitors in, allowing them 40 overs to the 2nds' 35.
Andy Sheldon toiled throughout with unremitting accuracy, taking 3-54 while at the other end a rather less accurate Laurence Brooker took 6-56 from his 20 overs.
Although PRCC couldn't take the final wicket, Bicester's 125 for 9 was not enough on a track which had remained dry throughout thanks to the covers. Kevin Dodds, Craig Williams and Roger Nunn all got out to soft dismissals after getting into double figures, but - surprisingly - Paul Daly steadied the ship and went on to an undefeated 43, joined by Andy Peattie (24 n.o.) as PRCC cruised to a 6 wicket win in their 27th over.
This took them 19 points nearer to Leighton Buzzard, whose match at Thame was called off though they're still at the top of the table
