06 Mar 2010 : CASCs - Should we join in?

ECB has pointed out the advantages of becoming a CASC - which means that donations by individuals can be brought within the Gift Aid scheme (more details here).
The advantage to PRCC would be that for every £10 given we can reclaim a further £2.82 though this doesn't apply to ordinary subscriptions and you have to be a UK taxpayer.

19 Feb 2010 : Winter Nets Start 21 February!!!!!!!

Winter Nets

The important news is that 21 February sees the start of the winter nets programme.
Nets start on Sundays from 21 February to 28 March between 5 and 6 p.m. at Lord William’s Lower School, Towersey Road, Thame.
We intend to introduce a number of the senior colts who have already broken into either the Saturday or Sunday sides along with others who we expect to make the breakthrough in the coming season. Please make sure that you encourage and help them as they are the future of the club.

09 Feb 2010 : Monks Risborough CC Fire

Fire ruins Monks Risborough Cricket Club's pavilion

PRCC has been in touch with MRCC following the fire which occurred in the early hours of Friday morning 29 January.
They were uninsured and are talking about fundraising and rebuilding - though getting the money's likely to be a massive task.
We've offered what assistance we can and will be discussing what we can do to help at the Committee meeting this Thursday (11 February).

04 Feb 2010 : CricketForce 2010: Help us at the end of March

NatWest CricketForce 2010 will take place over the weekend of March 26, 27 and 28.
ECB volunteering initiative aimed at rejuvenating the nation’s cricketing facilities.
PRCC has a host of things we want to get done, particularly building a new scorebox and renewing the cladding on the water tower.

Many thanks to all who helped make this evening such a success - particularly the members and parents who attended.
You'll be pleased to know that the evening made a profit to go into the net fund. We hope that there will be help from Bartercard to augment the £505 we made from the raffle and auction.
