Match report 10 man Risborough have a tough day at BA after winning the toss on what looks like a good batting track, albeit with a lush, slow outfield. The makeshift Greaves/Greaves opening partnership got us off to a good start, putting on 36 for the first wicket in a steady first 10 overs. Pratik picked up from where Matt left off and kept the board ticking over, followed by Farhan who took over, supported by Steve at the other end, who mostly kept the sweep in the locker and was eventually out for a creditable 28 having batted for 25 overs. Farhan and Lau put on 52 for the forth wicket, taking Risborough well over the hundred mark, before both falling in quick succession, Farhan for 37, the highest score of the innings. Andy Hitchcock came in and found the boundary regularly, hitting 29no in no time and getting Risborough to 175-5 off 52 overs. Considering the quality of the bowling and the slowness of the outfield it seemed a reasonable score.

However the pitch got increasingly slow and unthreatening throughout Risborough's response in the field and wickets were hard to come by despite numerous edges and half chances. Aggressive batting from BA put them in control and they cruised to the total, despite good bowling from everyone, especially Imran Khan, who took two well deserved wickets over 12 overs.
