Match report Two wins on the bounce...

Lost the toss and bowled first. Very good new ball spell by Lau and Wes led to only 40 runs being scored off the first 20 overs, for the loss of two wickets, with Wes ending up with 2-23 from 10, backed up by Lau with 0-26 off 13. After drinks, Ali Bee took two further wickets including a beauty of a googley that clipped the top of off. Andy Hitchcock picked up where he left off two weeks ago and methodically went through the batting order, ending up with 4-30 from another long, accurate spell, backed up by Steve Greaves, who took 2-25 from seven overs. Hurst finished on 155 all out. A good fielding and tight bowling display all round.

In reply, the ploy of opening with a slow bowler did not pay off as Wes hit the first ball for 6, and went on to take 22 off the first over, including a second six over mid wicket. Boundaries continued to come freely as Wes and Matt put on 68 for the first wicket. Wes went on to reach 50 from 29 balls (a league record for PRCC?), finishing with 80 from 59 balls, putting Risborough in a strong position. James Bee picked up where Wes left off, starting patiently, then hitting the bad ball after tea, to finish unbeaten on 38 from 54 balls, as Risborough reached the target for the loss of four wickets.

Again, a strong all round performance, building on last week's victory and successfully chasing a target.
