Abingdon Vale IV v Princes Risborough Cricket Club 2nd XI on Sat 23 May 2009 at 1:30
Princes Risborough Cricket Club Lost By 6 wickets

Match report A dismal batting performance by the 2nds meant that they lost away to Abingdon Vale IV by 6 wickets after being put in. Although the Abingdon bowling was tidy the early batsmen, veteran Dave Brooker apart, threw their wickets away cheaply and at one stage it looked as if the home side would not only have a low total to chase but a sackful of overs in which to do it.
However some aggressive batting by Andy Peattie, leavened with sensible defence and some good running brought PRCC to respectability, using up all their allocated 47 overs and ending on 170-9.
On a fairly placid wicket the Risborough bowling did not have enough penetration and sensible batting by the Abingdon saw them to a comfortable win. The young Matt Greaves bowled vey tidily at the end, but by that time Abingdon were home and dry.
